Watch: Barack Obama raps Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' to crowd during Kamala Harris rally

Barack Obama stepped up his backing for Kamala Harris by rapping the words to Eminem’s song Lose Yourself after he was introduced at a rally in Detroit by the rapper.

Obama appeared in front of supporters of the vice president after Eminem made a short address about the importance of free speech.

Throwing his support behind Harris, the rapper told the crowd that he doesn’t want an America “where people are worried about retribution, of what people will do if you make your opinion known”.

Sir Keir Starmer has insisted his relationship with Donald Trump has not been jeopardised after the Republican candidate's team accused Labour of "blatant foreign interference" in the US election.

The prime minister said on Tuesday he had "established a good relationship" with Trump despite the former president's campaign filing a legal complaint against Labour officials travelling to the US to volunteer for Harris in the tightly fought presidential race.

The complaint, filed with the independent Federal Election Commission, alleged that the volunteering by Labour Party members, coupled with reports of contact between senior Labour operatives and the Harris campaign, amounted to "illegal foreign campaign contributions and interference" to help Trump's Democrat rival in the US presidential election.

Latino backers of Donald Trump laid their hands on the ex-commander-in-chief and prayed for him as they showered him with religious gifts during a visit to Miami for a roundtable discussion.

The moment came at the end of Trump’s event with Latino supporters on Tuesday when speakers surrounded the former president.

“God’s hand is on this man,” one pastor said, before praying for Trump to win the election. Attendees then made their way to the rope line and reached toward the former president in prayer.

On top of the many members of the Trump administration who have already spoken out against the former president’s candidacy, John Kelly, his one-time chief of staff, warned in an expansive interview on Tuesday that Trump is a “fascist” and would rule like a dictator.

Kelly, a former Marine general, told The New York Times that Trump didn‘t understand the rule of law, and that he praised Adolf Hitler multiple times. Audio tape of Kelly’s comments was aired later on CNN.

“Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators – he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure," Kelly told The Times.

Harris said on Tuesday that the US is "absolutely" ready to elect its first woman president but downplayed her historic bid, saying she simply wants to turn the page for a nation "exhausted" by Donald Trump…

Speaking on the national NBC network, Harris responded "absolutely" when asked if the US was ready to elect its first woman – but also noted her candidacy was about "turning the page".

"People are exhausted with Donald Trump and his approach, because it's all about himself," she said.

Two weeks out from election day, Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance told supporters at a rally in swing state Arizona that they need to pull their friends to the polls because the race could go either way…

Polling in Arizona shows a close race, with Trump holding the edge over Kamala Harris on average. Arizona went blue in an upset in 2020, delivering the southern border state for Biden.

The toss-up status of the race for the state Trump lost became the focus of Vance’s rally in Peoria, where he sought to convince supporters they needed to “work our rear ends off for the next two weeks” to get the state back in the red column.
