Premiering on January 4, "The Challenger" sees The Big Three – Kate (Chrissy Metz), Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K Brown) – celebrate their 41st birthday, five years after the birthday that kicked off the show in 2016.

Episode two, "Lovebirds," will focus on Nicky (Griffin Dune), Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Miguel (Jon Huertas) as they go on a road trip.

The featurette captures the reactions of the main cast to the show ending for good next year.

"It's so wild to be a part of the show that means so much to so many people," Moore said.

"I hope the show is remembered fondly," she added. "I hope that people find the parallels between their lives and what they're seeing on the show. That, to me, is what sort of makes it so special."

The ensemble cast also features Gilmore Girls alum Milo Ventimiglia in the role of Jack Pearson, Susan Kelechi Watson as Beth Pearson and Chris Sullivan as Toby Damon.

"This Is Us is always gonna be the show that shows us who we are," Watson said.

This is Us airs on NBC in the US, while Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video will carry the show in the UK from January 6.
