This Is Us star Justin Hartley has already found his next project as the sixth and final season of the drama series is on the horizon.

The actor will be teaming up with Jeannine Renshaw and Nzingha Stewart, the director and co-executive producer of Manifest, for a new thriller series titled No Good Deed. The show is expected to air on ABC in the US (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The show will follow a good-natured botany professor who is hiding a dark secret. The decision to welcome a troubled student into her home will prove to be a massive mistake.

The student will use her charm, wit and deviousness to get closer to the professor and unearth secrets about her friends and family, destroying the lives of a small mountain town in the process.

Hartley will be sat behind the camera for this one as he takes on the role of executive producer. Renshaw will be writing No Good Dead and well as executive producing with Manifest's director Nzingha Stewart.

There's currently no planned release date, as production is yet to start.

As for Manifest, the show is expected to land its final outing on Netflix in 2022, after previously being cancelled by NBC.

Meanwhile, Stewart is currently shooting another Netflix original series titled From Scratch, based on Tembi Locke’s best-selling memoir by the same title. The show is about a sweeping romance between an American woman and a Sicilian man she meets in Italy but later loses.

Hartley is also partnering up with This is Us executive producer Ken Olin to star and produce The Never Game. Based on a novel by Jeffery Deaver, it will see the actor as a survivalist who roams the country as a "reward seeker", meanwhile solving mysteries and dealing with his own broken family.
