Nationwide rallies in support of the United States Postal Service were planned on August 22 as the US House of Representatives was expected to vote on legislation to reverse operational changes that critics say delayed mail delivery.
The bill, called the ‘Delivering for America Act,’ would provide an additional $25 billion and ensure the Postal Service could not implement any operational changes until January 2021.
The pro-USPS demonstrations were organized by a coalition of groups. This footage was shared on Twitter by Gallatin Democrats, who filmed it outside the post office building on E Babcock Street in Bozeman, Montana, on Saturday. Credit: Gallatin Democrats via Storyful
