US residents claim Donald Trump employed Melania 'doppelganger' after spotting 'clues'
Prior to Donald Trump's election victory today (November 6), US residents took to social media to accuse him of employing a "doppelganger" of his wife, Melania.
Whilst Melania, 54, has indeed been by his side throughout his election campaign, X users suggested the lady accompanying him yesterday to vote in Palm Beach, Florida was someone entirely different.
Footage of 78-year old Trump went viral on the platform after one voter revealed Melania has been "wearing sunglasses inside all day today" in a video. "That’s not Melania, this is insane," penned a one of 50 million people to view the clip. "Doesn’t look like her," another X user agreed. "Has he hired a double? That would just be the latest fake dimension of Trump’s life. Everything is for show, a performance."

A third person pointed out supposed tell tale signs, responding: "She doesnt walk like Melania. But the real giveaway is her hands. Look at the hands. This is clearly different than how Melania uses her hands." Whilst a fourth theorised: "The body double is much younger than her. The face is too young, thin and pale."
Others suggested the woman in question was in fact one of Trump's press team. "Looks like Trump press person, Margo Martin," one person claimed, sharing a picture of her apparent evidence. "I think the campaign gets away with using her as a decoy a lot."
Shutting down the lookalike rhetoric, however, Trump's backers shared videos to the contrary, declaring it was indeed 54-year old Melania accompanying the president-elcect at the polling station in Palm Beach, Florida.
"I guess you missed this part," slammed X user Eric Pistey, who shared a video in response of Trump standing by the side of Melania - minus her sunglasses. "Democrats would sell their own mother for a side of beef," another person hit out in response to the conspiracy.
"Liars also big time. All to make a one person look bad that’s not bad at all and that’s Trump. My advice to Democrats is to stop watching propaganda that is on the news."
Sir Keir Starmer has said the UK-US special relationship will "continue to prosper" following Trump's "historic election victory", meanwhile. The Prime Minister said: "Congratulations President-elect Trump on your historic election victory. I look forward to working with you in the years ahead.
"As the closest of allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defence of our shared values of freedom, democracy and enterprise. From growth and security to innovation and tech, I know that the UK-US special relationship will continue to prosper on both sides of the Atlantic for years to come."
