A bus driver has been praised for her kindness towards passengers, with two recent incidents highlighted for their caring nature.
Passengers impressed by the extra special service from Morebus driver Vanessa Knowling, have posted on social media asking for her actions to be recognised.
From helping elderly passengers to showing children around the bus, Ms Knowling has been singled out for going above and beyond.
In one post, Leanne Beard Smith said: "On November 18, we caught the No. 70 bus from Westbourne down to the Square to see the Christmas lights.
"There was an elderly lady on the bus who wasn’t sure which stop she needed to get off at.
"Vanessa very kindly assisted her and patiently answered her at each stop letting her know it wasn’t her stop yet.
"When we did arrive at her stop, Vanessa got off the bus with the little elderly lady and helped her cross the busy road.
"Huge shout out to this amazing bus driver who went above and beyond to ensure that the lady got safely across the road.
"She definitely made all of our day’s better too and all of us on the bus think she was wonderful and deserves a special mention.
"Thank you Vanessa, kindness costs nothing. You are a true human doing and being."
And in another post, a Poole resident said: "Thank you to the very kind lady Morebus driver who let eight children, who we were caring for today, have a look around her bus and press a button or two.
"It was down by Alum Chine at the end of Alumhurst Road. The children loved it."
In the comments, the mother of one of the children said her son, who loves buses, had really enjoyed the experience.
Morebus general manager, Richard Wade said: "I’m delighted to receive such wonderful praise about one of our drivers. Vanessa is a great member of our team, who is held in high regard by colleagues and customers alike.
“She consistently delivers excellent customer service - often going above and beyond for these who travel with her. These are the qualities we look for when recruiting drivers at Morebus, and I’m so pleased her efforts have been highlighted by her passengers.
“She has also been recognised by her peers, who have nominated her for our ‘Morebus Hero’ employee of the month award.”
Most importantly, Vanessa said: “I really love my job and making people smile when I can!”
