Usher to Release New Concert Film 'Rendezvous in Paris' in Theaters This Fall

Good news for fans who have "got it bad" for Usher.

On Tuesday, July 30, the R&B superstar, 45, announced the release of his concert film USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS, which turns his 2023, eight-show experience in Paris into a theatrical experience.

According to a press release, the concert film — which was captured during Paris Fashion week at La Seine Musicale — "incorporates the essence of his landmark cultural phenomenon Vegas residencies into a seductive French touch confession."

“Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” said Usher in a press release statement. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. As for those of you who were, I hope you experience the show and see what it takes to get there through a different lens.”

Directed by Anthony Mandler, the film features Usher's signature hits like "My Boo," "Yeah!" and "Love in This Club" with performances that include "never-before-seen costumes and state-of-the-art lighting and special effects." It will also give fans "a glimpse inside life beyond the stage."

With the backing of AMC Theatres Distribution and Trafalgar Releasing in partnership with Sony Music Vision, the movie is set to arrive in roughly 2,000 theaters around the world for a limited release between Thursday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 15.

Tickets for the movie are set to go on sale beginning Aug. 6 on Usher’s website.

The "OMG" performer has had a banner year between headlining the 2024 Super Bowl halftime showand receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 BET Awards.

Usher is set to hit the road for his Usher: Past Present Future tour, which will feature career-spanning hits from his first album, 1994’s Usher, to new singles from his ninth studio album Coming Home. 

The "Burn" artist will kick off the string of shows on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
