USS America and USS Carl Vinson Conduct Exercises in Pacific Ocean

The assault ship USS America and the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson carried out a passing exercise in the Pacific Ocean on January 20.

This footage shows the giant ships moving past each other. Both vessels were active in the Pacific, where the US anticipated potential North Korea activity ahead of South Korea’s hosting of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
