Utah Jazz winning run ended by Brandon Ingram-inspired Pelicans

Brandon Ingram scored a career-best 49 points as the New Orleans Pelicans brought the Utah Jazz’s 10-game NBA winning streak to an end.

Ingram thought he had won the game in regulation when he hit a jump shot with 0.2 seconds remaining, but Jaxson Hayes was called for a hold which gave the Jazz the chance to extend their purple patch.

Rudy Gobert only scored one of the two free throws as the fourth quarter finished with the score at 122-122 and the Jazz failed to find the basket in the second half of overtime as the Pelicans took the game 138-132.

The Milwaukee Bucks were pipped back from a 27-point lead but held on to see off the Boston Celtics 128-123.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points while Khris Middleton added 23, but the Celtics outscored the Eastern Conference leaders 36-22 in the fourth quarter to threaten an unlikely comeback.

Kawhi Leonard scored 32 points and Montrezl Harrell added 21 from the bench as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Orlando Magic 122-95.

They remain third in the Western Conference as the Denver Nuggets fought back to beat the Golden State Warriors 134-131 after overtime.

Denver outscored their opponents 40-28 in the fourth to force the extra period as the Warriors slipped to a ninth straight defeat.

In the night’s other game, the Phoenix Suns outplayed the New York Knicks to win 121-98.
