A former Utah wide receiver is facing eight felony charges after he allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl and two other women, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Terrell Perriman, 20, has been charged with three counts of rape, two charges of forcible sodomy, one count of forcible sexual abuse and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

He was initially charged with just one count of rape and aggravated kidnapping after he allegedly assaulted the teenager, who he met on Instagram. Prosecutors, per the report, amended those charges on Friday after they allege that he also raped two other women — one incident they say occurred just three days before he allegedly raped the 17-year-old.

From the Salt Lake Tribune:

That woman reported that she went to Perriman’s home after he text her and told her his roommate would be there. Perriman took her to his room and allegedly asked when she would stop “teasing” him and have sex with him.

The woman said she did not want to, according to charges, but Perriman grabbed her and pulled off her leggings and underwear and raped her.

A third woman reported that Perriman forced her to perform oral sex twice between October and November 2018 while they were at her home.

Perriman was arrested on Jan. 30 after the 17-year-old reported the alleged assault. Per the report, the 17-year-old alleged that Perriman called her an Uber so that she could come to his apartment. After she arrived, she said that Perriman “trapped her in his room and wouldn’t let her leave,” and she became afraid after she saw he had a stun gun.

From the Salt Lake Tribune:

She asked him if she could go, according to court documents, and he said only after she had sexual contact with him. She told him she didn’t want to and that she was only 17 and in high school. Perriman allegedly blocked the door, took her cellphone and covered her mouth while she screamed.

The girl said he then pulled his pants down and forced her out of hers and raped her, according to court documents. Perriman then ordered another Uber and sent the teen home, according to the probable cause statement.

His attorney argued that Perriman did not rape the teenager, and that she only made the allegations after she learned that they were not dating exclusively, per the report.

Perriman was dismissed from the team on Friday afternoon. He appeared in just two games last season for Utah. He is currently at the Salt Lake County jail, per the report, in lieu of $750,000 bail, and is due back in court on March 2.

“Today, we were made aware of additional charges that led to our decision to dismiss him,” Utes coach Kyle Whittingham said in a statement on Friday, via the Salt Lake Tribune. “Because of the ongoing legal process, and with Terrell no longer a part of our program, we will have no further comments regarding the situation.”
