A solo climber was rescued from the Kolob Canyons in Zion National Park, Utah, on Sunday, May 1, after he had fallen, sustained multiple injuries, and spent the night on the cliff face.
Sgt Wyatt Weber via local media said the 30-year-old man fell around 8 pm on Saturday and yelled to his father in the nearby parking lot, who contacted park rangers.
Park rangers couldn’t reach the man, however, and told him a helicopter would arrive the following morning, local media reported. The man had a broken ankle along with other minor injuries, media said.
