Utah's Brian Head Fire Grows to 11,000 Acres Overnight

The Brian Head Fire in in Utah doubled in size overnight on June 21 due to wind and high temperatures. By Thursday, June 22, the wildfire had spread to about 11,000 acres.

On Wednesday night, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office ordered evacuations for the Clear Creek, Beaver Dam and Horse Valley areas. Firefighters from local, state and federal agencies were working to contain the fire, but extreme heat and high winds were making the fire difficult to contain.
