Valentine's Day Comes Early for London Zoo's Loveable Squirrel Monkeys

Squirrel monkeys at London Zoo celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early this year, with footage released showing them getting special treats on February 12.

According to the zoo, resident Bolivian black-capped squirrel monkey Nuka – a nine-year-old male who is the leader of the zoo’s monkey family – has the grand total of seven partners to keep happy all year round.

Keepers at the zoo decided to help him out with wooing his partners for Valentine’s Day, treating them to hessian hanging heart bags, which were filled with their favorite snack: mealworms.
