Yahoo News The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev announces engagement to Shaun White
Congratulations are in order for The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, who has confirmed her engagement to partner Shaun White.
The star announced the happy news in a sweet Instagram post, sharing a series of pictures of the Olympic gold medallist getting down on one knee.
"RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé," Nina captioned the post, while also sharing a series of Instagram Stories, including their dog wearing a bandana emblazoned with the words: "My parents are getting married."

Shaun shared his own post, writing: "She said YES," admitting in a follow-up Instagram Story that it was the "best night of [his] life".
The couple has since received a host of congratulatory messages, with Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner writing: "YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. Congratulations beautiful people."
"Congratulations!!!" added Paris Hilton, while the official Olympics account echoed: "CONGRATULATIONS!!"
The couple opened up about Shaun's romantic New York proposal in a new interview with Vogue, explaining that he had put off a number of prior plans due to events such as Nina's recent bike accident.

When she revealed that she wasn't feeling well recently, Shaun decided to stick with his latest plan anyway, concocting a ruse to give Nina a fake invite to a Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour.
"He made the invite look so legitimate," Nina said, recalling that when she turned up to the supposed dinner, she found just Shaun and a photographer at the venue, adding: "I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him."
"I knew she was nervous because when she’s nervous she’ll make jokes. She’s like, 'So, wait, Anna’s not here?'" Shaun added.
Nina admitted that while she 'blacked out' during some of the proposal, she remembered that Shaun "said all the right things".
