Vancouver Kids Make the Most of Winter Weather by Snowboarding Down Street

The recent blast of snowy weather in Vancouver was put to good use by two 12-year-old locals, who enjoyed a spot of urban snowboarding on January 12.

East Vancouver native David Ball recorded footage of his daughter and her friend snowboarding down a street at the back of his house.

“I have urban skied and boarded quite a few times over the years in various places around Vancouver,” Ball told Storyful. “However, this was the first time for my daughter to urban board, carrying on the family tradition. Her friend with her was the first time he ever had strapped a board on. They hit the lane several times with huge smiles.” Credit: David Ball via Storyful
