Vauxhall station latest: Police probe suspicious car 'abandoned' in south London
Police today placed a large area near to Vauxhall's Tube, rail and bus stations on lockdown following reports of an abandoned car in the middle of the road.
Police were scrambled to the scene at Vauxhall Cross at around 12pm on Monday.
The vehicle was confirmed as non-suspicious at around 1.20pm, Scotland Yard said in a statement.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were responding to "reports of an abandoned car in the road".
Pictures shared online showed police searching the vehicle on the A3036 and a sniffer dog at the scene.
