Vauxhall and a VW van crash closed part of main Nuneaton road

A woman was taken to hospital following a collision between a car and van in Nuneaton. It took place on Lutterworth Road earlier this morning (November 20).

Part of the road between between Whitestone Road and Meadowside was closed for more than an hour. A Warwickshire Police spokesperson confirmed that emergency services were called to the collision at just after 10am.

This included West Midlands Ambulance Services. While there were no injuries reported, a woman, who has not been identified but is aged in her 70s, was taken to hospital.

She was driving the Astra car and was taken to hospital as a precaution following the collision. The stretch of road remained closed for more than hour.
