The vegan LA restaurant that's become the ultimate place to see (and be seen)

Gracias Madre is the ultimate LA spot for celebrities who want to kick back with a cannabis oil cocktail. The West Hollywood locale is peak Los Angeles, with twinkling outdoor lights, Instagrammable frozen drinks and a client list that includes Selena Gomez.

The extensive menu is totally organic, focusing on plant-based Mexican food made with locally grown ingredients. There's even an enormous patio where fairy lights provide a LuMee-perfect setting for any influencers dining.

And don’t let the lack of meat on the menu trick you into thinking it’s typical super-healthy, L.A. fare. Options include a truffle cheese plate, gorditas, and enchiladas, with many of the dishes topped with thick dollops of cashew cream.

The real standouts are the inventive, tropical tequila-based cocktails. Gracias Madre offers pitchers of margaritas, frozen drinks, and cannabis cocktails if you’re feeling a little more adventurous. It's the ultimate pregame spot as it's also close to celebrity hot spot Craig's, where the paparazzi are almost always camped out.

Since the vegan eatery opened in 2014, it has attracted an eclectic list of visitors, ready to dine under the fairy lights with the rest of Hollywood.

Russell Brand and his wife Laura Gallacher stopped by for lunch. Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Chastain all dined there (not at the same time, unfortunately). It’s also a Real Housewives of New York hangout when they vacation in LA - Bethenny Frankel and Brandi Glanville are both fans.

While celebrities must use the same entrance as regular diners, their bodyguards are allowed to flank their tables for extra privacy. Next time you venture to LA, stop by for dinner outside and you might look over to see an off-duty Miley Cyrus or Jessica Alba dining at the table next to yours.
