Drivers have been warned of long delays this evening (Monday, November 11) due to a vehicle catching fire on the A38 in Derbyshire. The fire cause traffic to build on the busy A road after one of the lanes was shut for over an hour and a half.

The fire happened on the A38 northbound, before A516 Uttoxeter New Road. This caused congestion to the Littleover turn off.

This is affecting traffic towards Derby. Motorists have been advised to find alternative routes and plan their journeys.
