A strong and “almost stationary” storm system over Belgium brought inches of rain to the province of Liege on Wednesday, July 14, footage shows.
Video taken by Abeline Genon shows the extent of the persistent rain near her home in Liege, as rushing floodwaters carry away two vehicles.
The Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (IRM) issued a rain warning for eastern Belgium through Thursday, saying that parts of the country could receive up to 150 mm (6 inches) of rain.
