All the venues taking part in Leicester Restaurant Week 2024 so far revealed

The venues taking part in Leicester Restaurant Week 2024 have been revealed. The yearly event is aiming to be even “bigger and better" than last year with 41 venues confirmed so far and more expected to to be added, organisers BID Leicester said.

Taking place in October, Leicester Restaurant Week invites diners to explore the city's culinary scene with “exclusive, one-week-only deals”. Fixed price points of £5, £10, £15, £20, £25 and £30 will be available across brunch, lunch, and dinner.

New additions this year participants include Indian restaurant Varanasi, as well as Wild Tango and Rum & Spice. All three venues will have “tantalising offers”, promoters have promised.

Three courses will be available for £30 at Wild Tango, while an “amazing” set menu at Varanasi will include poppadoms, a starter, main and rice or naan, also for £30, BID Leicester said. Meanwhile, at Rum & Spice, you can get a main, side and soft drink for £15.

There will also be a “variety of offers” from £5 across the city, including kids meal deals at St Martin’s Coffee Shop and Queen of Bradgate. Latin Kitchen, Slim Chickens and Sixes also have a £5 deal running over the week – from chicken wings and small plates to milkshakes.

For “light bites or lunchtime treats”, Exchange, Rutland & Derby, Veeno, Desi and Wygston’s House will also be taking part. Exchange and Veeno will be offering sharing boards with a glass of wine from £20. Meanwhile, Rutland & Derby will have bottomless wings for £15, and at Desi you will be to get a snack platter for four and masala chips for £25.

Those dropping into Wygston’s House will be able to get a sandwich and hot or soft drink for £10. Other offers will also be available at each venue.

BID Leicester director Simon Jenner said: “Restaurant Week 2024 is back and bigger than ever and we couldn’t be prouder. This is the fourth Leicester Restaurant Week and there is now a real sense of anticipation around the campaign as restaurants and diners get ready to celebrate Leicester’s vibrant food scene.”
