Very Good Boy: Police Dog Takes Down Kidnapping Suspect in Florida

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office praised the work of a K9 and deputy for arresting a man who tried to kidnap a child in New Port Richey, Florida, on September 17.

Police said the chase began after Sergeant Ferguson and a K9 named Titan responded to a call for battery and the attempted kidnapping at a residence.

Local reports said the suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Kevin Wilson, arrived at a home and climbed up to a second-floor window. The suspect had a no contact order in place at the residence and the residents were known to the suspect.

The mother at the residence allowed the man inside and he tried to kidnap the child during an argument, local reports said, citing police.

The suspect then fled the scene and was chased by police. This footage shows the officer and police dog apprehending the suspect before his arrest. Credit: Pasco Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
