A Very Royal Scandal: Release date, cast, plot and where you can stream it
A Very Royal Scandal is set to hit Amazon Prime this week, promising a brand new perspective on Prince Andrew's infamous Newsnight interview.
The drama show will offer a different take on the BBC interview compared to Netflix's Scoop, which was released just five months ago on April 5, 2024.
The limited series features a star-studded cast, including Good Omens' Michael Sheen and The Affair's Ruth Wilson.
Before the show's release, first-look images have been shared showing the pair looking totally unrecognisable as Prince Andrew and Emily Maitlis.

What's the story behind A Very Royal Scandal?
A Very Royal Scandal aims to "demonstrate the power of journalism through a pivotal moment in British history", reports the Express.
The series will portray Emily's headline-grabbing Newsnight interview with the disgraced Royal Prince Andrew about his friendship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
A Very Royal Scandal is the latest instalment in Amazon's Scandal series, previously co-produced with the BBC.
However, unlike A Very British Scandal and A Very English Scandal, the BBC is not involved with the Prince Andrew project.
Who are the stars of A Very Royal Scandal and who plays their counterparts in Scoop?
Ruth Wilson from The Affair will take on the role of former BBC journalist Emily Maitlist, while Michael Sheen, known for his roles in The Queen and Midnight in Paris, will transform into Prince Andrew.
The star-studded cast of the show includes Joanna Scanlan (After Love, Notes on a Scandal) as Amanda Thirsk, Alex Jennings (Your Christmas or Mine?) as Sir Edward Young, Eanna Hardwicke (The Sixth Commandment) as Stewart Maclean and Claire Rushbrook (Secrets and Lies) as Sarah Ferguson.
Interestingly, Sam McAlister, the producer who landed the Newsnight interview and was pivotal to Netflix's Scoop, is absent from the top-billed line-up.
In Amazon Prime's version of the scandal, Clare Calbraith will reportedly portray Sam, who was played by Billie Piper in Scoop.
Prince Andrew was depicted by Rufus Sewell of A Knight's Tale fame in Scoop, while Sex Education's Gillian Anderson took on the role of Emily.
Julian Jarrold has directed the new Amazon Prime series, with Jeremy Brock penning the script. Emily is an executive producer alongside Julian, Jeremy, Karen Thrussell, Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin and Diarmuid McKeown.
