A Very Royal Scandal star Michael Sheen's famous exes from Kate Beckinsale to Sarah Silverman

A Very Royal Scandal is set to hit Amazon Prime tomorrow, offering viewers a fresh take on Prince Andrew's notorious Newsnight interview.

Esteemed actor Michael Sheen will portray the scandal-ridden Royal Prince Andrew in the three-part series, with Ruth Wilson taking on the role of former BBC journalist Emily Maitlis.

While many are keen to see how Amazon Prime's interpretation of the scandal compares to Netflix's earlier release, Scoop, others are curious about the cast's off-screen lives.

Good Omens star Michael is in a long-term relationship with actress Anna Lundberg, and they have two children together, reports the Express.

However, before settling into family life, Michael had a string of high-profile romances. Let's take a look at the Welsh actor's star-studded romantic history.

Kate Beckinsale

Michael Sheen's first notable romance was with Hollywood star, Kate Beckinsale.

The attractive pair began dating in 1995 after co-starring in the play The Seagull, and they later welcomed a daughter named Lily in 1999.

Michael and Kate reunited on-screen in 2002, both featuring in the film Underworld, directed by Len Wiseman.

The couple parted ways in 2003 after relocating from London to Los Angeles, and Kate began dating Len shortly thereafter. The duo tied the knot in 2004 but separated in 2019.

Kate has always been clear that there was no overlap in her relationships with Michael and Len, maintaining that she and Michael have remained friends.

Rachel McAdams

Michael Sheen's romance with Rachel McAdams, the beloved actress from hits like Mean Girls and The Notebook, began in 2011.

The duo met on the set of Midnight in Paris and have stated that their relationship started after the film's production concluded.

Their relationship lasted from 2011 until 2013 but ended due to differing life goals; Rachel desired marriage and children, while Michael did not share those aspirations at the time.

Since 2016, the Canadian star has been with screenwriter Jamie Linden, with whom she shares two children.

Sarah Silverman

In 2014, Michael Sheen struck up a relationship with comedian and actress Sarah Silverman, meeting on the set of Masters of Sex.

They were together for four years before parting ways in February 2018, with Sarah revealing they "broke up over Christmas".

She emphasised the split was friendly, noting: "He moved back to the U.K. and his life is really there and my life is really not there, but I love him to pieces."

Anna Lundberg

Michael Sheen and his current partner Anna Lundberg began dating in 2019, stepping out publicly at a New York City screening of Good Omens in May.

Two years on from their relationship revelation, Michael excitedly shared news of their growing family with his Twitter followers, posting: "Very happy to let everyone know that my partner Anna and I are expecting a little angel of our own."

The duo, who boast acting credentials, are now parents to two children and make their home in Wales.

Anna has graced the screen in TV series such as 'The Sandman' and enjoyed a role in the feature film 'Last Train to Christmas'.

All three episodes of A Very Royal Scandal are set to premiere this Thursday, September 19 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
