Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2017: Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel are joined by Harry Styles on the runway in Shanghai

While most were busy escaping the office for a festive Pret sarnie, 55 of the world's most beautiful women were storming down the Victoria's Secret runway in Shanghai.

Hailing from 20 different countries, the models walked the show staged at the Mercedez-Benz arena for the biggest extravaganza in the lingerie giant's 22-year show history.

Some of the brand's longest serving angels Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima joined more recent recruits Bella Hadid, Devon Windsor, Sara Sampaio and Elsa Hosk.

Among the 15 new faces this year were Grace Bol, Frida Aasen, Victoria Lee, Xin Xie, Alexina Graham, and Estelle Chen.

Keen to ensure this show was the most show-stopping yet, Victoria's Secret commissioned their first ever high fashion runway collaboration.

Enlisting Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, the brand gave the French designer a 'punk/rock' segment of the show to dress.

And dress it he did, with black and red tartan lingerie sets, metal spikes and heavy silver fringing dominating his collection.

Revelling in the partnership, Rousteing admitted that he and Victoria's Secret "believe in the same kind of woman," dubbing the brand's models "powerful ladies... a strong and confident sexy girl that knows what she wants."
