In today’s least surprising news, Victoria Beckham has reportedly told Geri Halliwell that she ruddy well won’t be donning her little black dress for a Spice Girls reunion next year.

But the good news is that she has given the other four gals her blessing to go on without her.

Swings and roundabouts, eh?

According to new reports, the 41-year-old super-chic fashion designer had a not-so-secret ‘secret’ meeting with Geri, informing her that she won’t be sacrificing her new, cool rep to join Geri, Emma Bunton, Mel C, and Mel B on the road in 2016 to celebrate twenty years since their debut single ‘Wannabe’ first took the world by storm.

An insider dished to The Sun newspaper: “Victoria met Geri recently to have an afternoon together reminiscing about old times.

“Geri filled Victoria in on the plans for the reunion next year and while Victoria made it clear she couldn’t make it, she said she was more than happy for the other girls to go ahead. It’s wrong to suggest she would try to stop them doing it if the other girls wanted to.

“Victoria also told Geri she would be at one of the shows, or maybe more, cheering from the front row.”

Now that we would love to see.

After finding mass success following her Spice Girls fame, Victoria admitted that getting together to perform at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony would be the last time that she re-visits her Posh alter ego.

However, when Geri confirmed last week that the girls were in talks to honour their 20th anniversary, we all did hold a tiny shred of hope that Vic would change her mind.

Speaking on This Morning, the 43-year-old Ginger Spice teased: “It almost feels you know that it [the Spice Girls] belongs to everyone, like a generation.

“So I think it’s [a reunion is] one of those things that’s been discussed, but until it’s concrete I wouldn’t announce it.”

Hmm, we kinda think that you’ve said enough, babes.

We just hope that the remaining four members don’t let Victoria’s refusal put them off getting together next year - after all, we’ve already sent our puffa jackets and Spice Girls T-Shirts to the dry cleaners for the occasion…
