VIDEO: Ashok Gehlot insults Rajasthan governor
A video of Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has gone viral on social media platforms. After the Congress sacked his rival Sachin Pilot as deputy CM, Gehlot went to see the state governor Kalraj Mishra.
The clip shows the veteran governor standing up and greeting the CM with a 'namaste', but Gehlot doesn't reciprocate the gesture. Later, Gehlot sits before the governor, who is not only older to him but also holds a senior constitutional post.

Though the executive powers lies with the CM, governor is the nominal head of the state. Just like at the Centre, the prime minister is the head of the government but the President is the first citizen of the country.
The video is being posited as a proof that Gehlot harbours little respect for elders and the nominal head of the state. The epithet 'arrogant’ is also being bandied about to describe his behaviour in the face of the political crisis that has griped the desert state.
