On Video: Pyjama-Clad Boy, 8, Goes On Joyride

An eight-year-old boy has been caught on a joyride with his two younger foster siblings.

Dashcam video released by Minnesota State Police shows the boy at the end of his ride in a suburban neighbourhood in St Paul.

The boy's five-year-old foster sister and her three-year-old brother were also inside the vehicle at the time.

In the footage, the car is driven into a driveway and then is put into reverse, hitting the squad car before parking.

The pyjama-clad boy gets out of the car and gets his backpack and a bag.

Then his sister, with a pink top, gets out, followed by the youngest one is a striped onesie - both seemingly sleepy.

The three children then leave with a trooper, unharmed.

They were returned to their foster family.

The joyride on a highway near St Paul took place in April, but the dashcam has only been released now.

The ride came to a halt when state troopers were called to reports of an erratic driver and followed the car into the driveway, US media said.
