Video Shows NYPD Apprehend Suspect

Video posted by an eyewitness shows NYPD apprehending a suspect and dragging him from a car in Brooklyn after he attempted to drive off when officers approached him. The video shows multiple NYPD officers surrounding the vehicle and then pulling the man, who was wanted on an assault charge, from the car.

The NYPD released a statement on the incident, saying an officer had fired at the suspect when they came upon him a few blocks from the location where he was captured. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the arm. Credit: Junichi Arima
