Storyful

President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas demanded an immediate session of the UN Security Council on the current situation in Gaza during a statement to the press on July 20. Speaking from Doha, Abbas said, “I am calling for an urgent session tonight of the UN Security Council. The situation is intolerable.”

Abbas’ statement comes the same day that at least 60 people, including children, were killed during Israeli military operations in Shejaiya. Credit: YouTube/President M.Abbas
