Afghan MPs Evacuate Parliament Building After Attack

A series of explosions and gunfire rocked the Afghan parliament building in Kabul on Monday, June 22, according to local media. A Taliban spokes`man claimed the attack, according to the Ariana News agency.

Tolo News reported that all members of parliament and journalists had been evacuated to a safe location while fighting around the National Assembly continued. The agency posted footage from inside the parliament building showing MPs leaving the building amid heavy smoke.
