Animal-Rights Activist Rushes Bullring to 'Comfort' Dying Bull

An animal-rights activist rushed a bullring in Marbella, Spain, on Sunday, September 20, to “comfort” a dying bull. The activist, Amina Axelsson, a Swede living in Spain, wrote on her website that she carried out the act on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Video shows her being promptly removed from the ring.

Speaking to PETA, Axelsson said: “No animal should have to face an agonizing, needless death for the amusement of a crowd. I’m joining with PETA to urge caring people everywhere to end these bloody, internationally condemned events by never patronising bullfights.” Credit: PETA
