Anti-Nuclear Demonstrators Block Entrance to Scottish Naval Base

Approximately 250 anti-nuclear demonstrators blocked the entrance to the Faslane naval base on the Clyde, in Scotland, on April 13, as part of a planned protest against the Clyde-based submarine fleet carrying Trident nuclear missiles. The Scrap Trident Coalition’s #BairnsNotBombs demonstration aims to shut down the base, while also urging voters to back only those UK electoral candidates who reject the plan to update the nuclear missile system.
