Astronauts Brief Russian Officials on One-Year ISS Mission

NASA Astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko appeared before the Russian State Commission in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, to secure final permission for their year-long mission aboard the International Space Station.

The NASA mission will research the long-duration effects of space travel on the human body. The launch date has been set for March 27 and will last one year. Most missions to the station last only six months. Credit: YouTube/NASA
