Attorney General Will Not Appeal Same-Sex Marriage Ruling

Kentucky’s Attorney General Jack Conway broke into tears after announcing his office would not appeal a court ruling that Kentucky must recognise same-sex marriages performed outside the state. Conway told the press conference on March 4 that appealing the ruling would be “defending discrimination”. Kentucky Govenor Steve Beshear will seek outside counsel to mount an appeal.
