Belgian Airspace Closure Forces Diversions Across Europe

A technical fault caused the closure of Belgian airspace on Wednesday morning, May 27, affecting thousands of air passengers across Europe. ā€œThis is a nationwide problem,ā€ a message on the Brussels Airport website read. The issue arose after 9am local time and flights were due to gradually restart from 2pm.

These videos were uploaded by a Swiss Air passenger whose flight was due to depart at 9.55am. However, due to the technical glitch, passengers were made to disembark the plane. Their flight was due to be delayed by at least six hours. Credit: Twitter/gaabstra
