British University Discovers One of the Oldest Qur’an Manuscripts

A British university has discovered one of the oldest fragments of the Qur’an. The University of Birmingham used radiocarbon dating to confirm that the animal skin manuscript probably dated from the 6th or 7th century.

The Qur’an was one of the earliest surviving copies and could have been produced during the life of the Prophet Muhammad or shortly after his death in 632, according to the University of Birmingham researchers. Credit: YouTube/University of Birmingham
