California's Mesa Fire Evacuation Orders Lifted

A 300-acre fire in Santa Barbara County, California, was 75 percent contained on June 30, and evacuation orders were lifted. Evacuation warnings remained in effect for Cebada Canyon, but all other orders had been lifted. About 1,400 residents had been affected by the evacuation orders.

The Mesa Fire also had threatened La Purisima Mission State Historic Park, but the mission grounds were open with some trail closures on June 30.
