Camden Residents Cheer for President Obama

Camden residents lined the streets to welcome President Barack Obama ahead of his speech in the New Jersey city on May 18. Obama was in town to deliver remarks on police reform, including a new ban on some types of military-style gear being supplied to local police departments, according to reports.

The Camden Police Department was replaced by a county police agency in 2013 and has put into place a series of surveillance cameras called Eye in the Sky. Obama reviewed the technology the police department uses and its community policing program during his visit. Credit: Facebook/John Green
