Cameron Pushes Reform Agenda at Riga Summit

EU leaders arrived in Riga, Latvia, on May 21 for a two-day summit on the union’s ties with its eastern neighbours. Arriving on May 22, British Prime Minister David Cameron made it clear that he would use the meeting to push the case for EU reform.

He told reporters he was determined “to deliver for the British people a reform of the European Union,” so voters would have a “proper choice” in the EU membership referendum he has pledged to hold “before the end of 2017.” Credit: European Commission
