Crowd Breaks Into Song at Protest Over Police Shooting

About 50 protesters descended on North Charleston City Hall on Wednesday, April 8, one day after a video surfaced showing a police officer fatally shooting a local man. Walter Scott, a 50-year-old black man, was shot by Patrolman 1st Class Michael T. Slager, who is white, on Saturday, April 4. Slager faces a murder charge in the death of Scott.
