Crowds March in Chaco for Alberto Nisman

People marched in silence in the city of Resistencia, Chaco province, on Wednesday, February 18, to honor Alberto Nisman, the federal prosecutor whose mysterious death has cast a shadow over the Argentine government.

Nisman died on January 18 after making allegations that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was involved in covering up Iran’s role in a terrorist attack on a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in 1994.

Argentinians participating in the demonstration rallied around the hashtag #18F (February 18) and shared images of protesters marching in the rain. Credit: YouTube/Redacción El Difusor
