Deadly twin car bombings, which targeted the offices of Kurdish political parties in the northern Iraqi town of Tuz Khurmatu, killed at least 23 people on June 9. The back-to-back bombings in front of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Communist Party offices were the second double bombings targeting Kurdish political offices in two days.
The mayor of Tuz Khurmatu said that the explosion struck after a crowd had gathered around the victims of the first attack.
