Delta State University’s students and staff were joined by the community on Tuesday, September 15, in a vigil to remember slain professor Ethan Schmidt. Schmidt, a history professor, was fatally shot in his office on Monday. The suspect, social science and geography instructor Shannon Lamb, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound later in the day, according to authorities.
