Divers Work Through the Night at Sewol Ferry Sinking Scene

Divers continued to work through the night more than a week after a ferry sank off South Korea with more than 400 passengers on board. The Sewol capsized off the southwest coast on April 16; most on board were high school students.

Footage from the night of April 23-24 shows divers going in the water, at a time when hopes of finding survivors in air pockets were fading. Reports said divers were suffering from exhaustion and decompression sickness. Credit: Republic of Korea Coast Guard
