A man who warned two children swimming at a Queensland beach of a nearby crocodile used a drone to film the three-meter reptile snacking on a live turtle on April 21.
In an interview with the Cairns Post, Luke Flaherty said he was driving along the coast at Bingil Bay on Saturday afternoon when he spotted something resembling a log off the coast of Mission Beach.
It turned out to be a crocodile lurking near a small beach where at least two children were swimming. Flaherty said he warned the children to leave the water and used a drone to film the crocodile, which had snagged a turtle. The video shows the turtle flailing in the crocodile’s jaws.
