September 23 -- Emerging-market stocks and currencies headed for their best week since July amid speculation central banks around the world will keep growth-friendly monetary policies, spurring demand for higher-yielding assets. Benchmark share indexes in Argentina, Turkey and Mexico have all jumped at least 4 percent this week as the Federal Reserve refrained from raising interest rates, while the Bank of Japan maintained its stimulus, though switching its focus to bond yields.
