Enormous mechanical dragon roams French city

A cool video has emerged of a huge mechanical dragon being paraded through the streets of Nantes, France.

The 12 metre high horse-dragon, named ‘Long-Ma’, was built by French theatre company La Machine as a gift to the people of China to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France.

The elaborate machine weighs 45 tonnes and can gallop, lie down, blow smoke out of its nostrils and breathe fire out of its mouth.

Long-Ma will be flown to Beijing next month but not before it’s perfected its gait on the streets of the city this week.
