FBI Seeks Help to Identify Serial Bank Robber 'Buckeye Bandit'

Federal authorities held a press conference on March 20 to ask for the public’s assistance in identifying a serial bank robber in Ohio they have dubbed the Buckeye Bandit. The suspect has been involved in at least 20 bank robberies in the Columbus, Ohio area since 2013. His most recent robberies happened on January 31 at two different locations.

The suspect is described as a black male; approximately 25-35 years old; standing 5 foot, 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 180-200 pounds and having an athletic build. In some robberies, he has worn a mustache and in several robberies he work Ohio State University apparel, which is what has garnered him the Buckeye Bandit moniker.

There is a $5,000 reward from the FBI for anyone who provides information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect. Additionally, Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio is offering an additional $2,000 reward.
