Fireball Spotted Over Perth

A meteor was spotted over Perth on Monday, March 9, just after 9:30am local time. Several people on social media reported seeing the fireball’s flash of light. A Curtin University professor of planetary science, Phil Bland, told The Age that because the meteor was seen in daylight, it must have been a “big chunk of rock”. Bland added that the space rock may have also left a meteorite on the ground.
